CJ 2132 - Judicial Process


Lec. 3; Cr. 3

Judicial Process examines contemporary issues in the American judicial system and their connection to the broader criminal justice system.  Topics include the organization of state and federal courts, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the role of the prosecution, defense, and judges from initial charging to sentencing.

Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in CJ 1107  or permission from the Coordinator for Criminal Justice or Dean of Health Sciences, Business & Technology, and Public Protection and Safety.
