Basic principles of biology; general concepts in cell biology, genetics, ecology, and evolution. Students planning to take courses in botany, microbiology, or zoology should take BIOL 1201 and BIOL 1207/BIOL 1208. Only one BIOL 1201 or BIOL 1001 can be used for degree credit.
