ALLH 1200 - Health Data

Introduction to systems and processes for collecting, maintaining, and disseminating primary and secondary health related information. The course includes instruction on delivery and organizational structure to include content of health records, documentation requirements, registries, indices, licensing, regulatory agencies, medical reimbursement types, forms, and screens. This course includes learning the protections of health information such as data quality, security, privacy, and integrity. A grade of “C” or better must be earned in this course to receive a certification in Medical Billing and Coding.
