The associate of applied science degree in management prepares students for entry-level managerial positions. The program includes a core curriculum and a choice of four concentrations: administrative management, accounting management, applied artificial intelligence for business, and health care management. The administrative management concentration enables students to integrate various business courses into a comprehensive approach to meet the demands in today’s business world. The accounting management concentration emphasizes the functions typically performed by bank managers, accounting managers, and risk managers: management of the financial and managerial accounting functions; systems for safeguarding of assets and establishment of transaction authority; cash management methods, credit policy, and collection methods; principles of insurance and risk reduction techniques; short-term and long-term financing vehicles. The applied artificial intelligence for business concentration equips students with the knowledge and practical skills to apply artificial intelligence and data-driven technologies to business decision-making, process improvement, and strategic problem-solving across functional areas. The health care management concentration provides a foundation for managerial tasks specifically geared to the healthcare industry.
