Human Resources Management Certificate of Technical Studies

This certificate program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage a variety of activities including deciding what staffing needs an organization has and whether to use independent contractors or hire employees to fill these needs, recruiting and training the best employees, ensuring they are high performers, dealing with performance issues and ensuring that the organization’s personnel and management practices conform to various regulations. Additionally, the Human Resources Management function has been expanded in the transportation, oil and gas industry, manufacturing and service industries to include safety, environment, security, contingency planning and quality management issues.
Note: Plans are to discontinue this prorgam beginning Fall 2015. Students currently in the program will be allowed to graduate as long as they complete the certificate by the end of summer session 2016. [This is an ongoing program. 23 March 2016.]
