Louisiana State University Eunice offers college transfer curricula that parallel the first two years of the various curricula offered on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge. When Louisiana State University makes any changes in a curriculum, those changes are made in the first two years of that curriculum offered at LSU Eunice.
Since the curricular requirements of other collegiate institutions outside the LSU System may vary, students should try to decide on the college or university to which they plan to transfer as soon as possible in their educational careers. Then the transfer student can carefully follow the curricular requirements of the transfer institution while he or she is at LSU Eunice. Students in a transfer curriculum will receive a degree from the transfer institution once they complete all requirements at the college where they transfer.
Faculty advisors are available to aid students in choosing among the various curricula offered and in working out special arrangements to meet particular educational plans. Students who plan to transfer from LSU Eunice to a four-year college or university are encouraged to visit the Louisiana Board of Regents Master Course Articulation Matrix to determine LSU Eunice course equivalences. The matrix can be accessed by clicking on this link.
Common Course Numbering System
In addition to the LSU Eunice course number, some courses are identified by a four-character “rubric” and a four-digit number, ex. “MATH1021 (CMAT1213) College Algebra”. These courses are part of the Statewide Course Catalog published by the Louisiana Board of Regents. The Statewide Course Catalog lists those courses for which there is statewide agreement to minimum course content to be covered to prepare the student for subsequent course work. Courses with matching common course numbers will be accepted for transfer as indicated on the Louisiana Board of Regents Master Course Articulation Matrix. For additional explanation of the Statewide Course Catalog and Common Course Numbers, consult www.regents.state.la.us.
