CJ 2133 (CCRJ 2013) - Correctional Process Lec. 3; Cr. 3
Correctional Process provides an overview of the American correctional system including private, state, and federal correctional facilities and alternatives to incarceration. An emphasis is placed on the role of corrections-punishment vs. rehabilitation, along with contemporary trends, policies, programs, and practices.
Articulation: Correctional Officer P.O.S.T. diploma or accredited Correctional Academy diploma.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in CJ 1107 or permission from the Coordinator for Criminal Justice or Dean of Health Sciences, Business & Technology, and Public Protection and Safety.
