MATH 1023 - Pre-Calculus Lec. 5; Cr. 5
The study of algebraic, trigonometric, and transcendental functions with emphasis on preparation for calculus. Relations, functions, and their graphs; polynomial functions; exponential and logarithmic functions; trigonometric functions; trigonometric identities and equations; laws of sines and cosines; polar coordinates and equations; parametric equations. Credit will not be give for both this course and MATH 1021 or MATH 1022 . For qualified students, a replacement for MATH 1021 and MATH 1022 as preparation for calculus.
Prerequisite(s): Mathematics ACT subscore of 23 or higher, or placement by department.
