SURT 1003 - Surgical Technology Lab I

This course provides a laboratory component for the development and application of essential knowledge base and skills for surgical technology during the perioperative phase. Skills include: instrument identification, classification, and use; aseptic/sterile technique; infectious processes, wound healing, and creating and maintaining a sterile field.

Prerequisite(s): Selective admission into the Surgical Technology Program. Grade of “C” or better in all Pre-requisite courses.
Corequisite(s): SURT 1001, SURT 1104, and SURT 1103
