SURT 1103 - Surgical Practicum I

Students receive hands-on clinical experience in a surgical setting. Focus will be placed on enhancing knowledge base and skills in the first and second scrub roles. Primary surgical experiences will include general, otolaryngological, genitourinary, orthopedic, and OB/GYN specialties. Students are required to complete a minimum of sixty (60) in surgical cases in various surgical specialties.

Prerequisite(s): Selective admission into the Surgical Technology Program. Grade of “C” or better in in all Pre-requisite courses.
Corequisite(s): SURT 1001, SURT 1003 and SURT 1104
