The Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Technology curriculum provides a broad scope of leading courses in the information technology field, as well as general education courses.  This degree offers two concentrations, Systems Analysis and Programming and Cyber Security. The concentrations prepare students to become TestOut® and CompTIA® certified. 

The concentration in Systems Analysis and Programming prepares the student in specific areas of study which include System Analysis & Design, Computer Programming in Object-Oriented Environments, IT Project Management, and Computer Networking and Security. Students will be prepared for entry-level positions such as IT Support, troubleshooting, as well as programming with both robotics and device applications. 

The concentration in Cyber Security provides opportunities in a professional field that is one of the fastest growing industries into today’s business world.  The concentration emphasizes essential skills to secure, protect and identify vulnerabilities in a network.  Students will be prepared for entry-level positions such as systems security administrators, network security administrators, and data security analysts. 

All computer courses must earn a “C” or better.
