Fundamental concepts in managing medical and clinical information across a wide range of infrastructure equipment. Lecture topics include a breakdown of regulations, workflows, terminology, and security of private data and associated metadata handling in medical and industrial environments. Exercises in regulations, patient information, laws, document imaging, encryption, robotic remote surgery connectivity, and data storage are considered.
