SURT 2103 - Surgical Practicum II

Clin. 24 Cr. 6

Students receive hands-on clinical experience in a surgical setting. Focus will be placed on enhancing knowledge base and skills in the first and second scrub roles. Surgical clinical experience includes plastic/oral, ophthalmic, cardiothoracic, peripheral vascular, and neurosurgery. Students are required to complete a minimum of sixty (60) surgical cases in various surgical specialties.

Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better on SURT 1001, SURT 1003, SURT 1104, and SURT 1103.
Corequisite(s): SURT 1100, SURT 1102, and SURT 1240.
